Hi, thank you for visiting my website.
My name is Kate. I have loved reading, writing, and fashion since I was a child. My mom was a seamstress. She always made me the most beautiful clothes and bought me the most gorgeous accessories. I so fondly remember the go-go boots she dressed me in as a child. I felt fabulous in them. And from that moment on I loved the power of objects to transform feelings. My ma inspired my love of books too. She marched my tiny childhood self to the bookmobile weekly. It was a treasure house of books that was hauled around to the neighbourhoods without libraries.
And my dad encouraged my love of writing. He told the best stories in the world. And dada was a sailor. For a man that traversed the high seas embellishment came naturally and was always a part of his story.
I completed high school and I mean “high” school at Argyle Alternative. A place full of hippie teachers and wild ideas. I hold degrees in Fine Arts, and Religion and Culture.
