Well-dressed Ideas… Kwan, Lies and Weddings

I read this for you.  It is the latest novel by the scintillating writer Kevin Kwan. The title of the book is Lies and Weddings.

The main point of the book is to entertain and transport you to the most deliciously excessive people and places. Such over the top luxury!

The way to integrate the exotic world of Kevin Kwan in your life is to go for everything you love to the max.

The reason it is so important to embrace excess is because you need it and the world needs it.  Excess is a brilliant powerful tide. It is the tsunami that crushes the mediocre security bound culture that destroys all the glamorous excess of life.  Once we elevate our passions to the excess that they deserve, we will restore the brilliance of everyday life.  You have got to give yourself permission to shine.  And not the shine of Hollywood stars where people have 20 cars and monstrous homes. I mean excess for the average Jill Hill that’s gotta get out of the rut of security. Excess of any kind if fine. Like having cake with wine for breakfast or wearing lavish outfits to grocery shop. Any little change from the tired old security bound ways will restore the luxury of excess to its rightful place as a gleaming part of everyday life.

Now aren’t you glad I read this for you.

And what about this amazing silk brocade dress I am wearing that was purchased during my travels to the East. One of Kevin’s characters could easily have worn this to a high society event, or even the beach. This dress screams decadence and the fulfillment of desire in every tiny opulent gold thread.

Life can be so shi shi if you dare to live it, and if not, then read one of Kevin Kwan’s amazingly tantalizing novels for a taste of excess.
