I read this for you. Irrational Man a Study in Existential Philosophy written by William Barrett. It’s a deep-ass book. It was first published 1958.
1. The main point of the book is that we live in distraction from the conditions of life. People believe in religion, and other transcendent dimensions to distract themselves with fantasies of another place and time. And the reality of time closing in and ones’ impending death comes closer. And you cannot know when or how it will occur. The anxiety it provokes is overshadowed by all the religious ideas and other ways of distraction. The book is full of brilliant ideas on life and living authentically. And it is a thoughtful study of the history of existentialism.
2. The way to integrate these ideas is, number one, stop being petty above all else. Just quit getting pissy over small details because life is limited. Your time will be up. And the things that are making you so pissy, as important as they may be, are ruining your life in the moment. And the moment is ultimately all that you have.
3. The reason it is so important to do something is so you can experience happiness, contentment, maybe even joy. Once you swallow whole-heartedly that life is going to end and fuck knows when, you can make the most of life. Like what if you were killed while complaining, and snievelling, and fighting with one of your family members over some inane detail. Something like they took the long route while you were driving somewhere with them. If you cut out the petty shit from your life you will have a chance to be happy.
Now aren’t you glad I read this book for you.
And what about this fabulous outfit I’m wearing. The best thing about it is the pussycat bow blouse.

Very sexy and it dates back to the 19th century. The slacks have a great little side slit to draw attention to the gorgeous Stuart Weisman stilettos. And you should only wear stilettos if you can actually walk properly in them. It is comical and moronic to see somebody hobbling along in a great pair of heels. Remember if you can’t walk in them don’t wear them. The suit colour is probably the best thing about it, not a bad cut but it’s cheap fabric so I would not be caught dead wearing it. And there we are back to the existential conditional of life. Gonna die and do not want to do it in a cheap suit.
